Discover our limited-edition Alice in Wonderland Afternoon Tea, available from 5th August – 31st August. A story of a girl who falls down a hole and finds herself in a magical world – it is believed that Lewis Carroll, who wrote the 1865 hit novel, was inspired by his visit to Cheltenham when he met a young girl named Alice Liddell.

The Alice in Wonderland Afternoon tea features an array of delicious sweet and savoury treats, all of which hint to iconic aspects of the novel. Guests will enjoy smoked salmon and cream cheese on beetroot bread, pulled ham and mustard on multi-seed bread and marinated cucumber and dill on white bloomer. Sweet treats will include a ‘drink me’ green juice shot, ‘ eat me’ warm fruited scones with Dorset clotted cream and strawberry preserve, raspberry and cream shortbread, passion fruit macaroon, and a lavender chocolate cup. Served daily from 3-5pm and priced at £18.95 for the standard afternoon tea or £26.50 for the champagne afternoon tea, all guests dining are set to enjoy a magical experience.

As well as this, our bar team have added three limited-edition Alice in Wonderland themed cocktails to the menu. All served in a small stoppered bottle with a ‘magic’ teacup, each cocktail is unique to the Alice in Wonderland theme. The Jabberwock features vodka, gin, Bacardi, Cointreau, Midori & lemon juice with lemonade and turns from green to purple when served. The Queen of Hearts features vodka, gin, Bacardi, Cointreau, tequila & cranberry juice with lemonade which magically turns from red to orange once served. Lastly, The Cheshire Cat, featuring Seedlip Grove 42, lemon juice, orange juice and sugar syrup and each drink can be ordered on its own or alongside the afternoon tea menu.
